Hi there,
im planning to work in Singapore by early next year 2015. Im currently living in Penang.
My fields in Logistics, Transportation and customer service.
One of my friend advice to get a job first and only move to Singapore.
Appreciate your advice and opinion on this.

Of course it is better (easier, less risky) to move after you find a job.
But finding a job from abroad is more difficult than from inside the country.
Penang isn't very far from Singapore, so maybe you can find an inbetween solution - going for an extended job-search trip in Singapore (weeks or months) rather than full relocation before you have a job.
