Why not also try placing a free advert on www.mudah.com.my and www.ibilik.my These are places that most expatriates get to know about and consult when looking for accommodation. They are also widely used by Malaysians as a main source of findng people for flat sharing. You should probably explore the ibilik site first as it has some filters, which include the type of background to people you would like to share with. Naturally the more restrictions you place, the fewer "hits" are likely to be returned. However, location is probably the best parameter to use and leave the rest to chance, except perhaps gender.
