The best way to stay busy here is to go the different events that take place in Algeria, most of them are organized by the state so they're free.

I'm sorry but you cannot find anything to do. I have been working in Algiers for 5 years. We tried so much to find something to do but unfortunately there is nothing.
So here is the best solution: Work 5-6 weeks without doing anything else, and then go to barcelona, paris, marseille for 3-4 days to feel that you are living.
