Hi everyone,
Been reading forums here and just want to ask if somebody of you got an explanation from Manila Embassy to why they need to send some visa application to UDI, Norway despite having the original/red ribbon and complete documents? ( UDI checklist)
I applied for a family reunification visa on the 15th of July this year. My husband is a Norwegian citizen and qualifies for all the criteria the UDI needed in order to approve a visa (spouse visa). Upon submitting my application, the friendly lady interviewed me at the same time. She said all my papers are okay. The only missing one is my NSO birth certificate which she asked me to scan it and send it to her by mail, which I did. After 2 days, I received a reply from her saying that she did received my scanned birth certificate. I was so positive that my visa will be approved in 2-3 weeks, as the friendly lady told me. Unfortunately 3 weeks has passed, then a month yet I haven't heard from them. I called them on the fifth week,(it's so difficult calling because they never answer or the line is busy) luckily after 10 tries of ringing, a woman answered my call. I was so shocked to find out that my application has no result yet . I called again the next day to clarify why it took so long. The answer was, it's still for verification. The next day I received an email from UDI that they received my application. I was so disappointed as the UDI said I might need to wait for 9 months. I'm now 4 months pregnant and wanted to give birth in Norway. Furthermore, I've been living in Norway for the past 6 years and with my fiancee (my husband now) for almost a year . June, this year, I got denied for a working visa as my education has no connection with my job, despite having a 100% permanent job:-( Me and my fiancee decided to come home here in the Philippines to get married. So, on the 9th of July we sealed our vows. Then I started the processing of my visa.
Is there anybody else there who has the same situation or experience as me. By now my hopes are low and is looking for an answer and maybe ideas on how can I have my visa application be approved asap.
