How do foreigners find a job in Beijing

Hi sori_3880, Sorry to discourage you, but you are in same situation as many other "just graduated chinese" folks, so to say it quickly, it would be a bit of a fight to find something.
From the "legal" point of view, with a student visa you're not allowed to work, and to get a work visa you should be able to demonstrate some experience. Be aware of part time jobs without proper visas..
Now talking to what's really happening out there: schools and languaje related businesses are always happy to hire a foreign face to their ranks, so even missing papers could be overlooked if the right candidate appears and some visa companies can manage to provide the right work visa for a good amount of money.
If you really want it, load yourself with patience!

work visa is hard yes. I do obtain one through my own S-corp as a potter/artist in Jingdezhen, but with that said I too want to maintain a "real' studio there and it is difficult.  I do appreciate your knowledge so please maybe give us all some tips on living in China. I do go there a few months each year but always feel like "on the down low", and i dont like that feeling.  I want legitimate studio and production. ship my work back to United States, sell it, then come back and make more....easy plan right.....yeah right!!!! thanks again.

Are you filipina? if so, you must be looking for a domestic position.  Those are much easier to find in Hong Kong.  Mainlanders don't use domestics that much unless you are in a foreign dominated area in Shanghai or Beijing.  You may have to go through an agency to acquire all the paperwork you require and that is costly.  English teaching companies will hire non native speakers, but for far less than they pay native speakers.  Good Luck
