i just hope expats here do not give personal details to unknown locals
and he sounds desperate

Hahaha. This is hilarious. You don't even know me. And you are judging me for being desperate. I know this is not a dating site and seeing your posts everywhere on expat-blog all you end up doing is judging people. I don't understand what problem you have with localites trying to communicate with people from different cultures.

problem is locals like you who are single and desperate to get laid from expats( as people like u describe them) .
people here are not fools and you are not the only one . many members or ex members have been banned by the moderators most of whom are locals desperate to meet( i am not using strong words but everyone reads whats between the lines and why are you here)
i would suggest you go to thailand and spend some money instead of looking to get laid here for free.

I have no intentions of disrespecting you or anyone else here. Yes I am single. No I am not lonely. No I am not desperate. I have no such intentions as you mentioned above. There's no point in arguing. I think people here locals or expats are adult enough to know or take their own decision rather than someone else taking it for them. I know you are a senior. If you wish you can get my account deleted and my messages deleted or blocked. If this blog was just for expatriates locals should have been blocked in the very beginning itself.

you have mentioned correctly that there is no point of arguing cause you are in no situation to argue.

Thanks to bloggers who suggest meetups and those who think that it is for dating ,no one is sure .suggested meetups dont seem to take place. I have been suggesting a meetup for those interested in spanish (both local & expats) but have not been lucky.i must also add that i have 4 expats who are now friendsthanks to expatblog.i would request all those connected to please work out a mechanism by which we filter out those who look at expatblog as a dating site and we have meetups with purpose more often.can someone pls suggest modalities for the same.

just filter in mumbai city and you will get 15 pages of members who are  locals. and if you look at theri profiles any one can understand why are they here

sorry for being frank and open but many members have been banned but still these idiots who i guess are desperate and making profiles on every website available on the net where they can find expat women
and because of these desperate locals , indians get a bad name across the globe.

I have been told by an expatthat she got a pv t message or two every week after registrring on expatt blog before coming to india.  And practiccally all of them were of the kind—lets meet up or hang out etc.   There can be no one reason for it. In any case  those who have been on the blog for a long time & contributing can help bloggers choose the correct meetups by organising one themselves based on common interests .may be.

i would request all EXPAT MEN AND WOMEN DO NOT GIVE PHONE NUMBERS , ADDRESS AND PERSONAL DETAILS AND ALSO DO NOT GIVE SAID  DETAILS ON THE MAIN FORUM .

following are some of the stray thoughts which I had after reading your post.
1)There are more Indians on the site than expats
2)In your opinion quite some of the Indians are only looking for dating opportunity.
3)Maybe you help us all by suggesting filters in sync with the culture & spirit of the blog.
4)You have written 2 large mails in the immediate past on this advisory about caution.
5)I know for certain that there are many people abroad who want to make India their home or work here or simply study here..
6)It would be great if you can have topics about employment opportunities or procedure for being an expat in India or indocentric matters  in the domain of religion,social customs,info on festival.But the best would be the ones about application of knowledge about culture to enhance income & progress.  where person like you with HR experience & regular contributors play a greater role..
6)All in all,I can say that one cannot only write out the advisory and hope the problem would be solved but also start threads which talk about some thing of substance.
7)As the saying goes....Quantity begets quality.
