Just arrived in Santiago and looking for a teaching position. I have an English degree and a teaching certificate to teach K-12 in elementary education. I would like to work with young children. I moved from Phoenix, AZ and just completed a 2 year ELL teaching assignment with AmeriCorps. My students were 3rd - 5th graders at a local elementary school. I do know a little Spanish as well.

Due your spanish level, maybe it will be more suitable for you to teach person who want to improve their actual english level because the children won´t understand you because most of them (for say the less) just speak spanish and they haven't seen never any english word before so for teach english for them you have to teaching them using spanish and english at the same time.

Hope you will get a good paid job here in Chile.
