Shipping a car to tehran

Hi,

I am shifting from UAE to Tehran for good and wanted to know if I should ship a car with me or come there and buy one? I dont want anything expensive but what can I buy with a budget of USD 15,000?

As far as I am aware, you won't be able to import and register a second hand car in Iran. Best is to buy locally. USD 15k, should get you one of the domestically assembled vehicles, ex. Peugeot.

Mind you, you can import certain foreign manufactured vehicles (typically Japanese and South Korean), from the ministry of commerce approved list, but has to be a 2013 model and brand new, subject to import duties at port of entry.

15K USD equals to 45M toman or 450 Million rials. you can buy these cars; (I advice just quality cars).
