A volcanic eruption in eastern PNG was in the news. Is this incident somehow affecting lives or businesses in the capital?
I will be working there anytime soon and I am just thinking it might affect my schedule.

This is natural Disaster and our schedules are bound to be affected if the situation gets worse; flights can be delayed and lives of the people are in danger business can be affected by this disaster.

Hi Mate,
The volcano eruption was in Rabaul (where I come from). Though it spewed thick ash and larva, the wind direction cause it to spill across the nearby places towards the west. It is being monitored.
No major threat to business to the province and PNG...all good.
