This may be a very silly question but is the internet there reliable? Meaning uninterrupted and high speed? Are there blackout (power outages) that affect internet connectivity?

There are definitely power outages, more or less depending on where you live in Panama. In Panama City you should be able to get reliable high speed internet access.

There is high speed internet. I am with CableOnda and their service is pretty good. There are occasional interuptions but not more than I experienced in the U.S.
