I want to be a truck driver there (Germany)

Hi, can you please give me directives of how should I go to Germany and be a truck driver............I already have a passport.....I can speak English fluently.......I have my driving license for big trucks so please someone help me.

1. To become a truck driver in Germany, you need to be offered a job as such. Thus you should apply at applicable companies, e.g. logistics companies or freight forwarders.
2. Language skills are important, but English is uncommon among truck drivers. So you might want to learn German first to maximize your chances.
3. If you are not EU citizen, any employer would need to prove that they cannot find suitably skilled applicants who are citizen, before they could hire you. This will be your biggest hurdle, given the high unemployment rate among lower skilled professions. Focus on your niche skills that are rare and in demand in Europe. (For a truck driver, I have no idea what that might be.)
4. Lastly, you need to convert your driving license to a German one. If it is not or not fully convertible, you may need to take lessons and pass driving tests again.

Here are some links about the possibility of exchanging a Nambia drivers license for a German one and another site that explains the different classes of licenses in Germany. Both are in German but maybe Google will translate them. It looks like you can freely exchange for at least small trucks but for semis it wasn't so clear to me. As Beppi pointed out well, there are a lot of additional aspects to actually getting a driving job beyond having the proper license. http://www.tuev-sued.de/fuehrerschein_p … einklassenhttp://www.az.com.na/lokales/lokaler-fh … 125079.php
