Hi all -

I've been living in Sofia now for five years and have decided to move back to the US with my Bulgarian husband. When I moved here I only had a few suitcases, but now, I have acquired a whole two-bedroom apartment worth of stuff! Can anyone give advice about shipping things overseas? Maybe if you sent your belongings from America to Bulgaria or the other way round?

Hi, Angie,

I don't know if this will be helpful but when I was moving to Bulgaria from the US, a local (Las Vegas) company made me a quote for the shipment.

In Bulgaria, I received my stuff through Despret: - despred.com/ (I think their site is only available in Bulgarian)

This was 5 years ago but I think it's worth a shot

I hope is not to late, I can suggest to ship your things with a boat. It takes 35-40 days, and you do not have to rent the whole container, it can be group with other shipping. Wish you all the best.
