Help: melia puerto rico

Dear Puerto Rico community,

I need your help!

I have stayed in Melia Puerto Rico for 2 day- probably the worst hotel ever.

It happens that we have used a card to book the room and another one to pay. When we left we have paid 792 USD (our bill) and one week later they have charged us 350 USD from the other card without any reason.

The hotel is not replying to our emails and don't refund us.

How can I have my money back? Is there any authority to whom I can submit a complain?

Two suggestions, get in touch with the Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourist Association (PRHTA) www.prhta.org, 787-758-8001 or get in touch with the Alcalde's office. The Melia is in Ponce i believe.

I recommend that you immediately contact your credit card company and dispute the charge as fraudulent. If you did not authorize the charge, you have good standing to dispute it. Most likely, your credit card company will do more to help you than any other agency. They have a certain amount of liability for fraudulent charges; and they'd like to avoid dealing with it.
