How is it with smoking on a street in Lagos? I know it is prohibited in public places. But when I am standing just in front of my gate of a house where I work or live, should be ok. What do you think?

Yea, smoking in pub places is prohibited in Lagos. I think you should just restrict yourself to your home (or at your gate as you have stated). Smoking in places of work is usually not allowed by Nigerian employers.
