Hi. I am 52, a promoted primary teacher and I'm considering a move to Ireland. I have an Irish passport but have always lived in Scotland. I have two issues:
* are there areas in education I could work where I wouldn't need to speak Gaelic.
* what would happen to my UK pension and would I qualify for an Irish pension?

For special needs, I can't say, but I would say the requirement is across the board.. You can refer to the Irish Department of Education website.
