I am new here in Bahrain, I am planning to buy a used vehicle. I want to know what is the procedure for transfer of ownership, and what documents to check before buying.

Hi there. Welcome to Bahrain.
The seller will have to check if there are any outstanding fines/offences and have these settled before affecting the transfer.
The buyer will have to get a new insurance policy for the vehicle covering at least third party risk before the transfer can be affected.
Transfer of a vehicle is a simple process. Both the buyer and seller have to fill a form at the Traffic Directorate. Do not pay any cash (other than a token advance payment) until the transfer is completed.
