In the "deep south" of Bali, finding other like minded expats is quite easy. 

Here are just a few tips:

-The Bali Advertiser.  It's a free tabloid newspaper, available most everywhere, and published bi-monthly.  One can find expat associated gatherings/events there all the time.

-Look into Rotary International. It's a good thing to part of giving back.   

-Join InterNations (just Google it) as they have regular expat get together functons too. 

-But most important...get to know the locals (Balinese) where you live.  It is from them that you'll get the most valuable and useful information, as well as friends who will stand beside you.
