Questions for the Ladies

Hi Ladies - I'll be moving to Panama next year and I have some questions regarding beauty treatments/salons. I'll be the first to admit, though fairly low maintenance, I'm a girly- girl. I like my pedicures and salon treatments. How easy is it to find these type services outside the big city?
Thanks for the info

They are usually available in most places, inexpensively, definitely in Panama City for a city girl. However, if you move here and after you've been here for a while, you may decide "why bother."

Panamanian women dress well and have well done nails. Salon de Belleza (beauty shop) signs are all over the place. You will not have a problem.

Excellent! Thanks for the answer  :)

You'll be pleased to know that all name brand skin care and cosmetics are in Panama.  Clinique, Lancome, etc.  Plus Cover Girl.

A mani-pedi is $12 in Boquete.  They also do facials.  There are many salons in town with similar prices.

A massage is $30 a hour.  Or you can buy a package deal of 4 massages for $100 and you get 1 free.

Highlights and low lights with a haircut costs $50.  Just a haircut is $6

So you can still do your girly-girl stuff - but for much better prices.
