i am an indian, interested in working in ireland as pharmacology lecturer in university. i heard from some indians who have lived in ireland for some years that daylight robberies and house burglaries are very prevalent. they said ireland is quite a good place in all terms excepting the crime rate.

a search on google is also showing the same thing what i heard from other people.

please clarify, how safe is ireland and what could expats do to keep themselves safe?

yes its extremely dangerous, country is run by criminals, my advice is don't come to the banana republic, you will find much safer and pleasant places to live.
