I have been involved in community development programmes as a financial controller,  i have always acted as a treasurer in schools and clubs and also budget controller of partnerships where i belong now. this because of my skills such as numeracy, accounting, analytical, communication and trust

I am a primary school teacher here in Wakiso district. I have just joined the network a few days ago. I hope to gain alot from the forum in my struggle to achieve my goals. Thanks.

Hi everyone i am Alan Weller looking forward to come to work and live in Uganda one of the last unsoiled parts of the world.  I am looking to kick start my career in the Safari industry and i am looking for a placement either with pay or without.   To gain further practical experince to compliment my online course with Wildlife Campus.  I am also looking to start and complete my fgsa or the Ugandan version sometime in early 2015 or sooner funds allowing. .  I am currently free as i have just finished my consultant contract in Papua New Guinea where i spent sometime in the bush as a geologist Mineral Resource Authority of Papua New Guinea as a Geological Data base Specialists.  Ask for CV.  I have also worked in Mozambique and spent time in South Africa and last two years time in Zimbabwe and botswana.  I am currently spending my time between zim and the uk. I have been studying wildlife most of my life and hope to make wildlife films one day.  Got the equipment need the job or chance (for you safari guys out there take me on to film trips) to use it.

I hope to hear from you soon in regards to my blog.   I am also an ex soldier and was a marksman so have also had experience with firearms so poachers beware.   I have spent a  time in the bush both png and africa.  Last week i was lucky enough to test my knowledge in the bush near Victoria Falls when i encountered a small herd of elephants.  Nearly walked into the herd in dense bush but got a warning rumble and was smart enough to back away slowly until i was sure they were relaxed. I spent an hr observing them from deep bush so as not disturb them.  This experience and that of many more over the years just decided me this is where i should be for rest of my life.  This has been my dream from childhood but fate kept me away until now.

Hi All. My name is Patience. I'm new to the group, but not that new to Uganda anymore. I moved to Uganda from the UK in August 2013. I'm originally from Zimbabwe. I work for an organisation which designs and manufactures wheelchairs which are suitable for less resourced parts of the world. I'm currently working on a project to set up 4 wheelchair services within Uganda, as well as providing support for parents of children with cerebral palsy.

Because I live outside Kampala (Mukono), and I'm always traveling for work, I haven't had a chance to make many friends yet. Hopefully I will be able to meet some people through this group.

Good day all

My name is Nelisiwe S. Sigwane. I am from Swaziland in Mbabane City. I am married with 4 kids. I work for Swaziland Tourism Authority as a Tourism Inspector. I inspect all accommodation establishments in the country to see if they meet the minimum standards set by government for quality purposes. I also advise the industry on new trends and on how they can improve their establishments. I have worked as a Tourist Information Officer under the same company, where I dealt directly with tourists. I would advise them on what to do in the country and also suggest places to stay at and make bookings for them, as well as advise them on current and future events. I am a peoples person I can relate well with people. I can also handle admin work and can be placed at the reception, to warmly recieve clients.

I am planning to move to Uganda next year in February. My husband was posted there so hence the relocation. I do not wish to stay at home, I would like to get a job and work.

Am a surveying engineer living in kampala uganda and I do professional work in engineering and land surveying and currently working with M&D engineering consults.  Am glad to be here with you membera and hope to achieve the best.
