Hello,

I am going to travel around Kenya and Tanzania for 6 weeks and I am making a stop on Zanzibar for 5 days.
I really wanna learn how to dive there (no experience).
Does anyone recommend a dive school and a hotel or hostel? What part of the island should I go, I am by myself so I would like some people around.

I would recommend scuba do. Based in North Zanzibar check out scuba-do-Zanzibar.com Tammy and Christian run the place, lovely couple. Next door is the cheap and cheerful sunset villas. The beach is amazing and the food next door is cheap. Kendwa rocks is a lovely chilled hangout too with a bar next door. You might even get a sunset cruise on their yacht in the evening after a hard days diving. And a beer of course .
