Looking for work

Hello -
I"m interested in moving to Dubai and found this site.  I am just beginning my journey and hope to use this forum to guide me in my transition process.  I am interested in learning early the dynamics around securing employement.  I currently own a recruitment agency in Texas, USA and before that worked as VP of Marketing in the Telecommunications industry.  I've got a significant amount of experience, but not certain that will have any signifcance when job hunting in Dubai.  Can anyone tell me, what's the real deal on getting a job if you are 55 and female?  I've noticed that some job ads are clear on preferances with respect to gender and age, hence my questions.  I would appreciate any feedback on this and how best to pursue opportunities that will allow me to make the transition and position me for rewarding work.
