There, as the song says, may be trouble ahead.

UK's anti-EU voters to stick with UKIP party in national election - poll

In general, I tend to be a little careful about believing polls as they're so easily to corrupt but this rings true.

I suspect the Tories believe it as well and are more than aware, if they don't hit at Europe, they can forget government after the next election.

Cameron says can't guarantee UK staying in EU if Juncker gets top job - magazine

Prediction.
The Tories will keep their promise of a referendum on European membership, doing a deal with UKIP that will involve no UKIP candidates in Tory probable win seats, and open support for the Tory party from UKIP members in these constituencies.
Labour is pushing a pro EU line and, if they continue, they have a much reduced chance of doing much in the next general election.

As is normal, those with nasty agendas tend to speak up, usually disguising their racism with nationalism. This applies to UKIP, but the French far right are just open about their nasty stupidity.
These people use fear and lack of education to promote their nasty little agenda.

Fred, the people I want to see the back of are those whose wretched ethics drive them to bomb the peasantry of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, and now eastern Ukraine. Regrettably, they are still in charge of the EU Parliament. Parties like UKIP and the French FN are - as far as I can tell - not at all likely to continue membership of NATO if they were ever to gain control of Brussels by actually winning a majority of the seats in the Parliament. And if they did continue membership, they would certainly stop the aggressive wars.

I'm not defending the policies of the dissident parties, just putting them in perspective. What do you think?

On this one I agree with Gordon.

All that sort of violence is nothing short of nasty.
It is of little matter if it's an idiot Muslim extremist, bent on destroying stuff and killing people in the name of the Almighty, America carpet bombing Cambodia to save the world from communism, or whatever.
The lot haven't managed to work out, if we all work together, we can all live a better, happier life.
The whole lot are very foolish.

In addition to Gordon's post above, as I see it, one main issue is the need to remove bit by bit the excessive power of the elites managing the country from behind the large political parties. These large mainstream parties in reality do not represent the aspirations of the electorate. The elites use the power of the media to mould the way people vote and this is more easily done if there are fewer parties. Coupled with the 'first-past-the-post' system in Britain (and the US) voting becomes merely a formality.
As I see it it's important to change the mindset of the voters NOT to accept the elite's argument that a small number of large, powerful parties are to the country's advantage.
In Britain (and France) getting alternative (non pre-aligned parties) into government - even if they are initially radical - will bring more people's power into politics and, eventually, less misuse of political power by the elites behind the curtain (bankers).

Tomorrow may be considered a good test of whether UKIP is capable of following through on the good performance it made in May's European Parliament Elections.
In tomorrow's Newarkby-election they need to capitalise by a fare margin or people will be saying they are just a EU side-issue party.

The result will be interesting and will probably help decide policy for several parties.

While we are waiting for the Newark result forum members may wish to watch this video from RT.
Washington is prepared to eliminate any European leaders who do not align with Washington.
This video deals with the implications to newly elected or evolving parties and their leaders in Europe and worldwide. The video suggests that they may be seen as being a danger to globalist leadership from America. Is this really out of this world tin hat conspiracy theory or is there something to it? That's for you to decide.

Several countries have started a lot of wars, some tend to be prone to attacking other countries, but I'm unsure any would be stupid enough to start WWIII.
Saying that, there's always one moron.

Anyway UKIP and Nigel Farage did not grab their first seat in the British parliament. The party did, however, come in second place making a massive increase in the percentage vote it received compared to the previous election there.
From sky news the results were:

The turnout was 52.8%.
The full result was as follows:

:: Robert Jenrick (Conservative): 17,431 (45.03%)
:: Roger Helmer (UKIP): 10,028 (25.91%)
:: Michael Payne (Labour): 6,842 (17.68%)
:: Paul Baggaley (Independent): 1,891 (4.89%)
:: David Kirwan (Green Party): 1,057 (2.73%)
:: David Watts (Liberal Democrats): 1,004 (2.59%)
:: Nick The Flying Brick (Monster Raving Loony): 168 (0.43%)
:: Andy Hayes (Independent): 117 (0.30%)
:: David Bishop (Bus Pass Elvis): 87 (0.22%)
:: Lee Woods (Patriotic Socialist): 18 (0.05%)

A fair result but not yet the ground breaking news that would hit Britain like a major earthquake. It will be interesting to see how the media treats this.

Thanks for posting this, El. My guess is that the MSM will concentrate on jeering at the poor Labour and LibDems performances. I'm sorry my man Nick the Brick didn't do better, but he wasn't all that far behind the LibDems.

This party was also represented....  :top:

Interesting to see the Monster Raving Loony, Bus Pass Elvis and lib dems got more than the Patriotic Socialist.
The joke parties always do better than the socialist types.

More seriously, the UKIP vote will scare a good few people in the Tory party.

I'm old enough to remember the first entry into politics of the Loonies. Screaming Lord Sutch claimed that ALL of Britain's politicians were monster raving loonies, so he started up the OFFICIAL Monster Raving Loony party. Sadly, that distinction seems to have been forgotten over the years.

The monster raving loonies have won more seats than any other party.
Of course, they always claimed to be Labour or Conservatives.
The lib dems just use their own name because everyone already knows they're raving loonies.

Exactamente! That was Lord Sutch's point.
