Need advice on moving to Myanmar

I'm thinking of moving to Myanmar. I'm in Chiang Mai right now. I'm completely new to the place and have no idea where to stay and how to go about getting work. I know I can apply but I'm thinking that I will once I get there.

How's the visa situation there? Is it strict? I heard that you can only get it for 28 days. What are the other options for long-term stay?

I have skills in writing, editing, social media marketing, event planning. I taught English here but hope not to do it full time in my next destination.
