Any Expats living in the Crimea?

With the successful return of Crimea into the Russian Federation it would be great to hear from any English-speaking expatriates (or citizens) living in the Crimea.
I first became interested in the Crimea after a good friend visited the peninsula last year and described it in glowing terms calling it the Black Sea equivalent of the Mediterranean, and oh so beautiful.

I suppose the main negative climate-wise must be the winters that are probably a bit longer and colder.

On another site I saw it said that "Ukraine let [the Crimea] fall into disrepair - Russia will turn it into a dynamic tourist destination ala Cyprus." Do you agree?

US fast food chain shuts doors in Crimea

Hello Elwin
My name is Adolfo. I am from Argentina
I will be travelling to Crimea in 3 weeks.
It will be a pleasure to meet up for a beer
(I know it's hard being in Crimea without speaking Russian)
I plan to travel to Moscow and then to Simferopol
One question... How do authorities deal with the visa regitration there?
I hope to see you there
Adolfo

Hi Adolfo,
I am not in the Crimea myself but was just asking about the place.
Regards
El
