Best Weather For Expats

Dalat, a pine tree city in a mountain valley, may be the best city weather-wise for many Expats.

Even during the hot summer months, June to August, the average high is tolerable at 80 degrees (July), although 90 percent relative humidity then is also a factor.  The city is a retreat for residents of Saigon and other lowland places in the summertime.

Dalat had a population of 206,000 in 2009, and sits at elevation 1,500 meters or 4,921 feet.

Sources:  www.vietnamonline.com and Wikipedia

Dalat has a mild climate, but it is cloudy and rains a lot. See
http://www.weather2travel.com/climate-g … /dalat.php

I know a Belgium man who, after living in Dalat for many years, escaped to Nha Trang to find some sun.  Conversely, I met an American who moved from Nha Trang to Dalat to escape the heat. It has been particularly hot and dry in Nha Trang this year.

Great resource! Thanks for posting, Veedushi!

Hello !
