The Heartbleed Hit List: The Passwords You Need to Change Right Now

Many popular sites were affected including Facebook and Netflix.

"An encryption flaw called the Heartbleed bug is already being called one of the biggest security threats the Internet has ever seen. The bug has affected many popular websites and services — ones you might use every day, like Gmail and Facebook — and could have quietly exposed your sensitive account information (such as passwords and credit card numbers) over the past two years."

It only affects ISP that are running OpenSSL. If you're running a web server with OpenSSL then yes but only 30% of servers use that version SSL. There is nothing an individual user can do but make sure the site they're using is secured before logging in

I just now discovered than an old Yahoo email address I almost never use was broken into and the [very brief] contact list stolen today. Their email sucks anyway.

Reddit also has a user wide administrative alert on the front page admonishing users to change passwords. (why would anybody want to steal a reddit account?)

What a PITA.

To steal karma lol

FYI, most of the servers being used and who may have been corrupted by this insidious virus have almost all applied a server patch to fill in the operational void created by the virus.
None the less, an ounce of prevention avoids the pound of cure so, change all passwords associated with banking records and other personnel financial data..

Thanks for good info
