UK Tax Advice

I have a job offer and all being well will head out to Bahrain from England by the end of June.

The contract is for a minimum period of 2 years. The Statutory Residence Test Guidance Note(HMRC) states that I can work for 30 days in the UK, spend less than 90 days back in the UK and qualify for the third automatic test eg Non resident.

I am intending to take some paid annual leave during my stay(till the end of June) in the UK and I am wondering whether it will be accounted towards the 30 day margin.

It seems like if I leave the country by the end of June, it will be too late and I will be liable to pay UK tax.

If this is not the place for tax questions can someone advise of a professional who can assist?

Many thanks

Hello there and welcome to the forum.

Paid annual leaves do not count as income earned in the uk so no worries about that, as long as you get paid abroad and your employer is also abroad.
