Prepare that much so that you and your family can be able to finished that food........and even if left something then give it to any needy person...........

Eat more vegetables, less meat. Enjoy life!

Welcome to Vegetarian Club beppi............i am also a vegetarian....

Haha, no I'm not vegetarian.
I seldom cook meat myself and often order vegetable dishes if available, but life is much easier if I don't need to worry if e.g. the vegetable soup I ordered was made with meat broth or contains bacon bits (both common here in Europe).
It is also my personal rule to eat everything I am offered as a guest, and not to burden by hosts with dietary restrictions.
And, I must admit, occasionally (maybe once or twice a year), I enjoy a big feast of meat dishes, like a whole roasted duck, a steak BBQ, etc. It just tastes good!

I am always interested to hear from vegetarians why they follow that dietary lifestyle.
Is that traditional where you come from?
Or is it something you chose later in life?

Well for me .......i am born and brought up in a family where we don't eat non-veg....as tradition and religion too but later i started searching why this tradition is and what makes difference from a non-vegetarian...found interesting...one your life will increase, second you will be in good health for most of the time, third your temperament will be calm and you will not loose your calmness...Gives lot of vitamin...And in India we respect all the animals, also one of the reason people practice being vegetarian..........

Regards,
Anil

You know i was thinking while writing if you are not a vegetarian then........... :|

Then?

If I may say what I understood by Anil's "then".
Anil was thinking if his assumption about your eating habits was incorrect....
THEN his reply will also be off the mark.
But I'm sure Anil will answer himself. :)

These are reasons that I must respect since they are part of your belief system.

If you are seeking the whole truth and not just the conventional wisdom of vegetarians you will find that the adherents of a mixed vegetable / animal foods diet will give similar reasons. Which side is then right?
In Sri Lanka and India the incidence of kidney failures is rising massively and some sources claim this is due to pollution of the vegetable part of their diets.
Smoking (and chewing) tobacco, drinking alcohol and consuming too much coffee does not, in the long run 'calm' you. Yet all these products are 'vegetarian'.
Someone who consumes animal products AND vegetable foods can select those vegetables that provide vitamins. It is also claimed by some nutritionists that a diet without some animal products will be deficient in some vitamins and minerals.
Please note these are the comments of someone who is NOT an expert on diet.  :)

There is a difference between veg and non-veg food........veg will not make your blood hot but non-veg will, but it doesn't means that eating veg you will not get angry and non-veg you will not be calm....Kidney failures are rising due to alcohol and chewing tabbaco is not veg food...even though its herb but not as food....Yes you are right smoking, chewing tabacco ,taking too much coffee and tea will not make calm.........the biggest difference you can easily see between veg and non-veg is aggression..........may be i have wrong judgement about all this but what i have experienced i told..........

Thank you for expressing your views very well.
In some respects my experiences are different -- but I suppose they would be since I follow an 'omnivore' diet. Evolution of mankind as well as his diet has been a subject that has always interested me.

A good practice of having a balance food simply means a good practice of eating a balanced diet.
The good practice of eating a balanced diet can be explained as a culture, habit or process of preparing menu or eating foods and food products that contain all the food nutrients in their normal proportion. And this has to do with quality and quantity of the foods and food products.

The good practice of eating balanced diet has to do with the nutritional requirements of each individual/individuals based on age, nature of work, state of health, stature et cetera. Also, condition and method of preparation, manner and eating habit of individual goes a long way. It is broad field that can't be explained in details here.

All the parameters and conditions stated above are important in the practice of having a balance food.  You can consult a specialist if you want to know more.

Regard,
Shakir
