Selling deeds in husbands name only who need to be there to sign ?

Hi not sure if anyone can help but thanks for reading.

Selling an apartment deeds are in husbands name only he travelled to buy the apartment on his own. We now have a buyer for the apartment and we are being told buy the agent that both Mr & Mrs need to be in Bulgaria to sign paper work even though deeds are only in husbands name is the correct ? Thanks in advance for any help/ advice

Both have to sign, as you are married you both own the place even though only your husband signed at the buy.
Or yo can give the Agent or your husband a POA notarised in UK to sign for you.
