Hi Folks:
We are still on track for moving in a year or so. (Happy Dance here)
We bought a new 24 foot pontoon boat last year about this time. NEVER go to a boat show when hungry for a new boat...LOL.
Has only been in freshwater, but according to Yamaha (boat motor is Yamaha)..using in saltwater no problem.
Is a 24 foot pontoon a feasible craft for boating in Belize? Not in high seas or to take off into wild blue ocean for days but puttering around the Cayes and the like.

Well a late reply but no one else has. Yes some folks have pontoon boats here and yours should serve you well. Seas are rarely more than a foot or two inside the reef (save for sometimes in the channel south of Belize City) and no ocean swell. Obviously pay close attention to weather. If you won't be living in the cayes however you may have trouble finding secure inexpensive moorage for it on the mainland if not trailerable.
