Hi all,
I've just joined, currently living in the UK and not quite yet a Bahrain citizen. I've got a prospective job offer due to reach me from a recognised educational establishment in Bahrain, where they need to consult the Bahrain Civil Service Bureau (CSB) to confirm my offer package.
I've already had one offer given from them through the CSB, which I turned it down and currently awaiting their second offer at the moment. Only thing is that it takes SO LONG to get any news from CSB. The first offer took about 8 weeks to receive. So far its been almost 10 weeks waiting for the 2nd offer to come through, but no response as yet.
I'm just getting a bit concerned as to why it would take such a long (or longer) wait?! The establishment seem confident that I should get news any day now, but they also seem unable to speed anything up or push it through, as it appears to be 'out of their hands' and can only go through the CSB. At the same time they are trying to reassure me that all is fine and that they do want me there as soon as possible. It's all a bit baffling and frustrating, especially as I'm not there in person at all yet and this has been going on from September 2012 since I got through the telephone interview stage of the process.
Has anyone had any similar dealings with the Bahrain CSB? I've tried to find some info online about the CSB but all are minimal findings with no reference to the issue I have. Can anyone enlighten me further on the CSB and possibly why they would take so long to make a decision.
Cheers in advance for the attention folks - look forward to receiving responses.
