Réunion bimensuelle ( mercredi, une semaine sur deux + un mercredi flottant, a la discretion de Tudor ) pour les francophones, les amoureux de la langue française et leurs amis.

Chaque évènement attire environ 50-70 personnes. L'atmosphère est détendue et n'a pas de code vestimentaire clair, même si la plupart des participants sont des gens d'affaires.

Il n'est pas obligatoire de parler français (nous ne parlons pas français tout le temps), nos membres parlent aussi anglais ou roumain, mais vous devez avoir un certain intérêt.

Le temps est venu pour moi de quitter la Roumanie. Après 2 ans et demi passé ici, à fréquenter ce Meetup, rencontrer un grand nombre d'entre vous, je dois poursuivre ma progression professionnelle et malheureusement changer de pays. C'était un réel plaisir de vous retrouver même si mon emploi du temps ne me permet pas souvent d'être présent. Une dédicace spéciale pour Tudor, une personne formidable. Dévouée à ce Meetup, toujours à l'écoute de ses membres, nous nous connaissons depuis le début de cette aventure et je ne t'oublierai pas. The event is open to everyone. You're welcome whether you are a salesperson or owner, run a business large or small.  It doesn't matter if you are young or old, tall or short, male or female.

Please give us your business card when you check in at registration. Please don't give us a hard time – we don't share your information.  We really need your card.  We keep track of who attends and how often they are there. We will add you to our invite lists and personal email databases.  WE DO NOT provide your information to others and never sell/share our attendee's list.

First names only on your name badge - should you decide to bring one – no company name or corporate badges. We have now proven our theory that people profile at networking event.  We want to encourage everyone to just speak to each other.  Please do not get upset when we ask you to remove your company name badge.

The Success of this event is the result of people "Playing It Forward". You may have see/heard of the movie "Pay It Forward".  If you like what you've seen and experienced here…….please be sure to tell your friends and colleagues and invite them as well.  In other words….."Play It Forward".

No literature or promotional materials on tables. We have no problem with you handing materials to people you speak with, but please don't leave on tables or on the bar.
Suggestions

Please Respect Everyone & Don't Blow Someone Totally Off. You never know who the person you are talking to knows.  They don't have to be a good prospect to be a good connection.  Their friend, neighbor or family member could be the person you would really love to do business with and you want to make sure you don't miss that opportunity.  That doesn't mean you need to spend 30 minutes speaking with someone you don't wish to know better.  Hone your networking skills to meet and be gracious to as many people as possible.

You should purchase at least a drink at the bar. The venue is generous enough not to charge for the space.  You should be courteous enough to give them some business.

Please be generous to your hardworking Bartenders, Servers and Valets. They are working hard to make sure you have a good evening.  Show them your appreciation.

Out of simple curiosity, and no pun intended: Why is this called prefixed with "the Famous" ? Is this chaired by someone important? If it is that famous, why is isn't any of my french mates at work not talking about it?

It is called " The famous " because everybody and his neighbor heard of it ( in the right circles ).
Someone important for me is represented by mum, friends and clients ( you know, the good people who pay for products and services ) .
No pun intended, but your french mates at work seem to not be in the right circles. Why would they be interesting, in this case ? Or....perhaps they are not talking about it....to you ?

So, let me get this right (and of course no pun intended) - So........ once mum, friends and clients pay for the products & services they consume, everybody (including their neighbours) hears about it, and this makes it famous. And I guess, like  everything famous, people will be talking about if for generations to come.

I must immediately let my silly/ unimportant French mates, with unimportant jobs, working for unimportant companies, know ASAP, they need to get into important circles and attend Famous meetups. My definition of fame and how to get famous slightly differs from yours. But now, I stand corrected. Thank you once again, kind Sir, for this eye-opener.

Les organisateurs se réservent le droit de refuser l'accès à toute personne qui ne respecte pas les usages en vigueur.
Cette fois-ci notre hôte sera le Royal Steak Hot Stone Restaurant, premier restaurant de Roumanie spécialisé dans la cuisine sur pierre volcanique (http://royalsteak.ro/).
Situe dans le centre de Bucarest, Piata Romana, nr. 8, Royal Steak Hot Stone Restaurant va vous ravir les papilles gustatives avec un menu exclusiviste dans lequel vous trouverez des éléments soigneusement choisis comme la viande de bœuf en provenance d'Argentine ou les fruits de mer.
La cuisine sur pierre volcanique est une vieille pratique, qui reste aujourd'hui encore la manière la plus saine de préparer la viande, puisque la cuisson se fait sans graisse et sans huile. No literature or promotional materials on tables. We have no problem with you handing materials to people you speak with, but please don't leave it on tables or on the bar.

Suggestions

Please Respect Everyone & Don't Blow Someone Totally Off. You never know who the person you are talking to knows.  They don't have to be a good prospect to be a good connection.  Their friend, neighbor or family member could be the person you would really love to do business with and you want to make sure you don't miss that opportunity.  That doesn't mean you need to spend 30 minutes speaking with someone you don't wish to know better.  Hone your networking skills to meet and be gracious to as many people as possible.

You should purchase at least a drink at the bar. The venue is generous enough not to charge for the space.  You should be courteous enough to give them some business.

Please be generous to your hardworking Bartenders, Servers and Valets. They are working hard to make sure you have a good evening.  Show them your appreciation.

Wednesday evening come to meet your friends, make new friends and have a beautiful evening in an international environment!

The event draws 50-70 people each time. The atmosphere is relaxed. Dress code : smart casual .

This time, we are making a common meetup with the Bucharest Young Diplomats Club - formed of young diplomats from Bucharest ( first or second assignment ) which will intertwine with us in a relaxed manner.

The location is , as always, the famous Victoriei 18 - remodeled exactly as it was in 1965.
