The other side of the Macedonian postcard

Hi,

As a tourist in a foreign country, very often, we are enchanted with what we discover.

Living abroad is different. It's a rich experience but there are also some difficulties to face.

When people ask me for advice on living abroad, I then tend to say that one should also look at both sides of the postcard.

As an expat in Macedonia, how would you describe the two sides of your Macedonian postcard?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Julien

Living here since half a year and nothing is really bothering, but there are a few things I'd like to see changed.

- Trash in the city / nature - Its not that bad, but since Im used to a different behaviour it is bothering me to a certain degree, especially when I come to a beautifull place in the nature and see trash lying around there.

- Ethnic tensions - Admitedly, neither I, nor a person I know had any problems, but you can see the potential.

- To strong influence of politics everywhere.

I think you nailed it there
