Vehicle VRT and repairs

You can get a VRT done when you like but if you want the old one to carry on then I think its a months before.
Retest is free or at least mine was but I have a feeling its within  a certain time.

Do you know what that period is?

mine is due soon and just need to be prepped in advanced of it.

You can get it done up to 3 months before licence renewal date.

Sorry Dave not sure my guess would be a month but check with the guy at the test garage.
I usually have a service done on the car prior to the VRT and ask the garage to get it VRT'd  at the same time.
