I am not an expat yet.... but i am searching for jobs in Libya,can anyone tell me of any company that is willing to hire a USA citizen ? i am not looking to get paid more than anyone else just enough to pay for a 1 bedroom apartment and some food.
How do you go about getting a job and a work visa in Libya?

if you have an MA or a PHD i suggest you try to get a job as a ESL teacher. Demand is extremely high and the salary packages for expat are very interesting, you'll have no problem renting a flat and buying food. You'll even save loads.
