Hi,I would like to know how one applies for the job of Specialist doctors in PNG.Also interested in knowing the health system, more emphasis on trauma management as I am an orthopedic surgeon.

First you have to be registered as a doctor. Register with PNG Medical Board. It takes 3-4 months to process it, reason why would be employers shy away from hiring expats, its a long process... then you get a visa in their embassies abroad. Once you are registered it would be easier to apply when there is vacancy....Hope this info will help you... Dr. Joel T.
