I arrived from the UK via Paris in SAO, I just went straight though to baggage claim. I have informed the British Consulate and was informed by the Polica Federal to go back to them at the airport, which I did and they said, no need until I leave the country. So essentially I am an illegal in this country. For all they know I could be the new 'White Widow'!!!???

Hi Melissa,
Yes, you should definitely go back to the airport with your passport and entry card and report to the Policia Federal there. Explain to them what happened and they will place the appropriate entry stamp your passport. In fact, I just dealt with another similar case the other day. According to the member the police were extremely gracious and said this happens frequently.
