Horses in or near Grecia?

Hi, We moved here in early October 2013 and are happily living in one of the farming communities in the mountains above Grecia. The most difficult part of moving for me was leaving my beloved horse Macho behind.
My horse for me was more than simply recreation. I have arthritis and chronic pain from an old injury. Riding my horse daily was the best therapy I'd ever had (I am also a certified equine specialist and have worked in equine therapy for several years).
I hope to eventually get a horse (or horses) because we have a pasture next to our house. But right now, I'm just trying to find a horse to ride on a regular basis.
If you know of anyone within the general Grecia area who might need their horse exercised, please let me know. Thanks!

Hi,

Hi! I saw your old post? Are you still in Costa Rica? I am wondering if you know how plausible it is to have a horse in Costa Rica? I am hoping to retire there in a few years and want to finally fulfill a lifelong dream to have a horse when I do. Do you know if it is expensive to keep horses in Costa Rica? Would it be hard to find horse care like vets and blacksmiths? Are vets expensive? About how much would it cost to have someone help care for the horse especially when I am away visiting family? Any idea about how much it would cost to have a horse per month like for food and vet etc? Or boarding too if I needed it? Thanks for any info!
