Global Visas

Dear Members,

Has anyone used GV to assist you with your permanent residency application? I am battling with them. I paid them in 2011 and have received a lot of documents to complete, which I have and since then nothing has happened. I've been told that the Canadian criteria have changed.

Firstly I need a reputable company or agency that can help me to get into Vancouver first then all the other questions will follow.

Kind regards,
Tom

Hello Tom.

Welcome to Expat.com! :)

Tom,

This is one of the reasons that Citizenship and Immigrations Canada states clearly that you don't need to use an agent or lawyer, most of them just take your money and if they do anything at all it is nothing that you couldn't have done by yourself. Don't waste anymore of your time and money go to the CIC website and fill out the online forms, at least you'll know if you qualify.

Thanks Aurelie for making me feel welcome on the blog.

Stop paying them. Google complaints against them.  They cannot find you a job.

You need a work permit to apply for a visa. To get a work permit you need a job offer from a Canadian employer.

Hi Martie,

Thanks for your replies. How do I get a job offer from a Canadian Employer?

Regards,

The employer has to apply for a LMO from Service Canada. If he can prove that there is no Canadian that applied and qualified for the job, he could be allowed to offer a job to an immigrant. Your challenge would be finding aCanadian employer willing to get approved for a joboffer.
