Helga at Cafe des Arts

I lived in Togo in 1981-82.  When I was there, a little cafe called 'Cafe des Arts' on the north part of the Boulevard Circulaire.  The cafe featured an artist who was a German woman named 'Helga' who made tapestries from Grande Marche fabric prints.  I bought several when I was there and they are still cherished possessions.  I was wondering if anyone knew (a) if Cafe des Arts still there, and (b) does any one know where this Helga now lives and how to contact her?
