OSN Subscription and adding channels on Dreambox

Hi, can please anyone tell me how to subscribe at OSN? I tried over their website but it needs you to have a credit card and I don't have one. Is there any other way to subscribe? Or anyone knows some of their local distributors or office branch here in Riyadh?

My wife and son is arriving this May, that's why I need to get a new cable network. Because we are using Dreambox (Nilesat, Arabsat and Hotbird) in our flat, and I find the channels are mostly arabic, there are few english movies but no programs like lifestyle channel, food network, natgeo, nba etc and cartoon channels like cartoon network, nick and disney. Is there a way that I can add those channels?

Thanks :)

Hi everyone..

well i wanted to give you a guide about the televsion networks which are available here

1. Orbit Showtime (OSN)on NileSat.  previously two separate networks Showtime Arabia and Orbit Networks.
it's considered the best and almost the only network which provide a variety of channels and Movies on Demand.

osn.com/

Packages and Channels :
http://www.osn.com/Subscribe/packages_en_gb.aspx
the best package start from 244 and the Platinum at 356, there are other less packages too.

Payments are monthly only if you have a credit card which i assume you have otherwise full payment for one year has to be paid in advance in cash for one year. you may find some local distributors who have 6 months cash subscription.

2. Al Jazeera Sports Channels (NileSat-Hotbird-BadrSat)
broadcast Football League and super cups of the following:
Spanish, Italian, French, Scottish, Russian,Argentinean, Japanese, Holland( Netherlands), Swiss,Brazilian, American.. and English Cup .. NBA - ESPN America

Most importantly it broadcast European Championship and League

Also the biggest even this summer which the Cup of European Nations which will fall in coming June.

Price: 75$ for new and 65$ subscription for channels from 1+ to 8+ / 3+ is English ..
channel 9+ / 10+/HD1/HD2 additional 50$  these channels broadcast events like cups so you need it if you are into football.

NBA /ESPN America /ESPN Classic  additional 12$ .. it's all yearly subscription and i consider it so cheap..

this is their site but i could find it in English
aljazeerasport.net/membership/

they also have a wonderful and great services that you could use.. Online Subscription
http://www.en.aljazeerasport.tv/
you could subscribe monthly or yearly
https://secure.en.aljazeerasport.tv/buy

3. The third one is Abu Dhabi Sports Channels which Broadcast English Primer League for 399 SR satellite subs.
http://satellite.adtvnetwork.com/admcb2 … Price.aspx

they are also have online subs.. you can visit their link
http://www.en.bpl.admcsport.com/page/Ho … 61,00.html

4. the last one is the cable subscriptions thru the home internet from STC and i wont recommended it because it's not up to the standards..  the only good thing about it is they have all of the three in one place.. with restriction of course .. check out their site

http://www.invision.com.sa/en/packages/invision-basic

5. Pehla and Firstnet networks basically for Indians

hope this will help you out guys..

Hope it helps

Thanks Martin Fin, maybe i'll just take OSN since my friend who also lives in the flat and have a credit card. And also noticed that the dreambox has porn in it. My son might accidentally watch those. lol

I've learned that OSN channels are available via the Nilesat satellite. We have Nilesat, but how can I get those OSN channels? :(

Although OSN is transmitted from Nilesat they are encrypted channels so you will still need to find a way of subscribing to OSN.

This link http://nilesat.com.eg/Channels.aspx gives you the channel listing and if you have a sat box you can select different channels there are lots of free to air channels that may be keep your family occupied and not cost you any money to boot!

Martin

You can get OSN subscriptions by paying cash or by debit card at their agent shops. In Riyadh just off Tahlia there is a street which is comminly referred to as "satellite Street" there are many agents here where you can subscribe to OSN and other channels.

Thank you Martin and SaudiUK, really appreciated your infos and advices. Hope that I can work it out before my family arrives here. :D

The best to do for OSN is to call 0550420773

Which Service Provider gives cricket like IPL and the forthcoming Champions Tophy in England. OSN is giving us England vs New Zealand and Ashes, but they do not give us the other cricket, especially from the Asian subcontinent.

Cricket subscribe to pehla

they have 3 cric channels...cric from all over the globe.

Does anyone know if it is possible to pick up Eutelsat Channels in KSA?

I am interested in getting the DSTV South Africa signal
