Live in Bahamas part time.. Advice ... TY

I was wondering if anyone who has moved or dos the part time thing in bahamas..if they would be willing to share how the Bahamas thing has worked for you.

I have the ability $$$$ (within reason), I work for myself,  to possible buy something in the bahamas... and have always dreamed of doing so.. not for permamanent residence, just part time....

I have so many questions, and no one I know personally has done this...

what island do you go to ? nassau, bimini exuma or...

most importantly WHy did you pick it? that is my hardest problem.. do i want a semi secludes , and cheaper place on an out island, or go with nasssu where there is more activity.. but also more $$$...

what is  the island like? do you meet people? do you work part time for fun, or do what... to keep from getting bored?

if not nassau.. how expensive are flights on and off?

do people come actually visit? people say the will, but will they really? lol

how much did it cost you to do it? do you rent or own? what are the recurring expenses I should expect?

what times of the year do you go down? for how long? what do you do with your primary residence while you are away?

what about my cat? Can I take my cat in and out ?

what do you do regarding security when you arent around? do you rent out your property when not using it?

are there taxes, fees , or whatever to come and go?

If i buy a "fixer upper" how available /expensive are materials?

what is day to day life down there really, really  like?

sorry if these questions seem crazy but I just dont know who to ask!
