Dear All
Please advise me if I get a job in Nairobi, will I receive an offer letter first then sign labor contract? Or just one appointment letter?
Because labor conteact is very important in China,and I am shocked when I was told there isn't labor contract in Nairobi by the empolyer, just appointment letter.
Have you signed a contract upon your joining the company? or just signed a letter of appointment.

You have to sign a contract; from my experience, employers are obligated to provide contracts

you sign a contract with the employer but before you sign make sure you understand and agree on the terms e.g amount of salary, benefits, allowances and such. you may need t appoint a legal expert to assist you. if so, feel free to get back i help you. regards
