LOST & FOUND

http://www.chinapost.com.tw/news_images/20130326/p01z.jpgHi all,

Just an amazing story from The China Post.

A Georgia woman lost her underwater camera will diving in Maui in 2007. Almost six years later it was found on a beach in Taiwan by a manager from China Airlines, virtually intact.

The airline tracked down the owner through the photo which had survived the 8,000 Km. ocean voyage and has offered her a free round trip ticket to China to reunite her with her camera and the photos she must surely have believed were lost forever. I hope she rushed right out and bought a lottery ticket when she received the news just in case her luck hadn't already run out.

What an incredible ad for both China Airlines and the manufacturer of the underwater housing for the camera.

I heard about this.  The Chinese government said they were really spy pictures.

Hi Hailey,

Somehow I knew you'd have something so funny to say that it would knock my on my butt laughing as you usually do. Half of the time I put stuff out here on the blog, knowing you'll read it and dying to know what you'll say. You always make my day.

Who knows? Maybe the Chinese government couldn't tell  the snapshot of that old shipwrecked submarine off the coast of Maui from a new US nuclear sub! LOL

Have a great week.

Cheers,
James

That's nice of you to say, but you should thank the Chinese government.

I never thought about it, but maybe the camera had pictures of the USS Arizona and the Chinese didn't know what it was.

It's still pretty amazing that the camera even survived the trip.
