Many locals live on less than Rp2 million/month but don't expect to eat out a lot.
% million gives you an acceptable LOCAL standard of living but everything is on credit.
10 million is easily and about what I spend per month on everything but I'm not a big spender, don't drink but I do like restaurants.
That also covers housing and my kid's school but not my toy motorbike that I bought cash.
Specialist engineers should be looking at 30 million (ish) or maybe more.
You can live well and save a bundle of cash (but only if you turn your brain on).

About your salary bargain, its depends on your experience and your position.
I would rather say ask the company first how much ussualy they give for same position like you and just increase 10-39% more.

And i guess the salary you receive will be around $2000.

Serious, $ 2.000 is not an Expart salary!

Many thanks for reply & information.I appreciate it. I am already gettong more than $2000 in India. Anyway, I understand the MNC pays quite good for expacts with lot of facilities like Accommodation, school fees, Car allowance etc.
