Pregnancy in Tripoli

Hi,

could you please share advice and tips about pregnancy in Tripoli?

Who are the best gynecologists for pregnancy follow-ups?

Which hospitals or clinics would you recommend to give birth in Tripoli?

Thanks a lot in advance for your advice !

Christine

My wife gave birth in Razi Clinic. There is a good Libyan Doctor, we really liked her. Her name is Raida. I do recommend her and the clinic. My colleague's wife also had a delivery with this doctor.

Thank you very much for this Masterr! :)

Our daughter was born in Libya in January 2012.
For first class prenatal consultations (as you would expect in any developed nation) try Dr. Hanan Elaghi at Saint James' in Ben Ashour. She also sees patients at the Libyan Swiss hospital. However it better to see her at Saint James' as they have equipment that are at par with today's medical standards. Dr. Hanan also works with a Maltese specialist Dr. Josey Muscat. He is in Libya once every month; appointments are to be made at Saint James hospital.
After seeing almost 10 different gynecologists in different hospitals, we found Dr. Hanan to be the best care giver of international standards in Libya. We were referred to her by Dr. Muscat. For more info: http://www.stjameshospital.com/libya/

For delivery: Dr Hanan recommended the Yashfeen Hospital in the Tajoura district. It turned out to the best hospital that we have ever visited in Libya. The staff, services and facilities can be compared to that you'll expect from a 5 star hotel. Expecting mothers can choose between standard rooms or suites that can be shared with either the husband or a relative. You can bring your own doctor for your delievery (arrange in advance with the hospital). Prices are the same as what you'll pay in any other Libyan Hospital. LYD 750 for normal delivery and LYD 1750 for C-Section. Prices includes all hospital and consultant fees including accommodation for one night in a standard room. You'll be extra if your choose the suite. For more info visit: www.yashfeen.ly

We used the above doctors and hospitals and our baby was born with no complications and my wife need no stitches as Dr. Hanan was very patient unlike many doctors you'll find in Libya who rush to deliver babies and most times end up tearing the mothers or forcing C-section.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help AnyTime Solutions ;)
