Hi All,
My husband is trying to get us to move from the US to Wellington..question is, do I really need to own a car? Is there reliable train service? Fodors travel guide is okay, but I need to knwo by people who live there.
In the best world, I would prefer to use pubic transit and rent a car for excurisions.
IF you would not mind, perhaps you can give some advice on where to live so I would not need a car.

I would also say that it is not a problem without a car if you live close to your work. But the public transport in NZ is not very good. Even Auckland is a catastrophe!
