Revisiting Belize after 15 years
Hi All. Intend to get back to Belize in the very near future for a visit. Last there in 94 with Brit Army. Visited loads of locations on that visit and was the weekend tour guide for my buddies as I had visited previously in 84 and new loads of great places to visit and explore. Intend to fly into Cancun and then make way down to Chetumal and then into Belize. Did this in 94 and it looks like it could still be the easiest and by far cheapest way to get there from England. Any advice greatly appreciated. Best regards. Zak

Hi Zak, via Cancun is still the best way to get down here from Europe. Take an ADO bus to Chetumal. Other option is flying through one of the US hubs, Miami, Houston, Dallas, etc., they have flights with Continental, American. There are some nice expats from England here in Cayo, one also used to be in the British Forces! Give me a holler when you get here and if you are interested in getting in contact with them. Jana

Hi Jana, Thanks for quick reply. Hope to get out there before end of March. Is that still the high season then? Really want to get and visit some of the places I visited several times. Rio On Pools, Thousand foot falls, Mountain Pine Ridge just to mention a couple, can't forget the Cayes too! Just been on Google Earth pinpointing some of the remote areas used to go and explore! There's been a lot going on since I was last there, though even in 94 I knew it had a lot of potential!! Regards. Zak:cool:
