Weather in Belo Horizonte

We plan to spend some time in Belo Horizone in March.

Can anyone please tell me what is the weather like in March - does it rain a lot? I looked up the average statistics but they do not really mean much to me. It said 4.85 inches of rain - but it could mean a lot of days with steady soft rain or a few torrential rains which go away as quickly as they came.

Any information will be greatly appreciated. We plan to be ther the early part of March. Thank you.
